He was predeceased by: his parents, David Ray Alphin, Sr. and Virginia Letchworth Barnette; his sister Debra Faye "Debbie" Alphin; and his aunt Margaret Irene "Stump" Alphin. He is survived by: his wife Annette Sowers Alphin; his children, David Ray "Trey" Alphin III (Crystal Hill Alphin) and Hannah Alphin Taylor (Dusty Eric Taylor); his grandchildren, Madison Dawn Alphin, David Ray Alphin IV and Owen Eric Taylor; his sister Sue Alphin Blizzard; and his sibling's children, Jack Hardison (Stephanie), Scott Hardison (Denise), Tommy Blizzard (Elizabeth) and Amanda Harrell (Stanley).
