She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Stroud and Annie Stroud; her husband Carl D. "Tebo" Harper; her children, Carolyn Anne, Bryan, Donnie, Jeff and Judy Catherine; and her husband Norval Grant.
She is survived by: her children, Carl Harper, Jr. (Kris), Robert Harper (Pat), Danny Harper, Rodney Harper (Patricia), Sandy Jones (Ken) and Darlene Rappa; her stepson John Grant; and her nieces, Margaret Brown, Violet Pate, Sue Rouse and Peggy Smith. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 25 great, great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Howard-Carter Funeral Home (1608 W Vernon Ave, Kinston, NC 28504). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
