She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Ward and Martha Ward; her husband Lawrence Callender; and her sister Jean Wigfall. She is survived by: her daughter Yolanda Faith Flemming; her grandchildren, Dominique Croswell and Desiree Flemming; and her sister Edna Lord. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the St Mary's Episcopal Church (800 Rountree St, Kinston, NC 28501).
