She was predeceased by: her parents, Tobe Whaley and Prudie Adams Whaley; her husband H. B. Gaskins; her son Gregory Dail; and her siblings, Myrtle Heath, Henry Whaley, Orvis Whaley, Barbara Jones and Roy Whaley.
She is survived by: her children, Clifton Dail (Casey) and Deborah Hood (Melvin); her daughter-in-law Rachel Dail; her grandchildren, Nikki McDonald, Shannon Carlyle, Laurie Thompson and Kieran Dail; her great grandchildren, Madison, Paytyn, Bladen, Drew and Kamryn; her sister Irene Miller; and her close friend Doug Hood. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pinelawn Memorial Park (4488 US-70, Kinston, NC 28504).
