She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Patrick Gay and Eva Thomas Gay; and her siblings, Nannie West, Jennie Kivett, Ruth Whaley, Pete Gay and Thomas Gay.

She is survived by: her children, Lisa Peace Fields (Stanley) of LaGrange and Jonathan Everett Peace (Alesa) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and her grandchildren, Reva Williams, Amanda Heath and Jonathan Peace.
