She is survived by: her children, Curits Ray Moore, Jr. of Georgia and Katena Elaine Cherry of Kinston; and her brother Walter Whitfield. She is also survived by many grandchildren, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Jr. Memorial Chapel (208 E Blount St, Kinston, NC 28501). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 12:00 PM. A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at the Pinelawn Memorial Park (4488 US-70, Kinston, NC 28504).
