He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Ivy Taylor and Isabelle Carter Taylor; his siblings, Rosa Taylor Jones (Joe Jones), Kenneth Taylor and Grace Taylor Reeves (Fain Reeves); his former wife Ann Heath Taylor; his sons, Kendrick Lee Taylor and Emmett Russell Taylor; his stepdaughter Sharron Rochelle; his grandchildren, Timothy Randall Turner II and Shelley Hill Cates; his nephew Justin Jones; and his niece Pansy Jones Chadwick.
He is survived by: his brothers, Eddie Heath Gray Heath Sr. (Roberta), Billy Heath Sr., Doug Heath and Ken Heath Sr.; his wife Harriett; his grandchildren, Heather Taylor (Natalio) of Kinston, Kelly, Morgane Taylor, Clifton Hill (Aaron) of Greenville and Dana Stanley of Kinston; his great grandchildren, Brittany Turner (Ethan Lamm), Lee Turner (Sarah), Bradley Turner and Amy Turner of Kinston; his daughters, Patricia Strange of Deep Run and Lynn Dixon of Snow Hill; and his nieces and nephews, Vance Jones (Susan), Kenny Taylor, Linda Jones, Debra Heath, Taylor Bielby, Sandra Daughtry and Cassy Smith.
