He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Alice Faye Lanier of Kinston, NC, Floyd Wade, Jr. of Washington, DC, Stephen Wade of Capital Heights, MD, Charles Wade, Sr. of Wilson, NC and Michael Wade of Cincinnati, OH; and his sister Helen Saunders of Waterbury, CT. He was also cherished by grandchildren; twenty-three (23) great grandchildren; six (6) great-great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
