She was predeceased by: her parents, Troy Thomas Barnes, Sr. and Berta Hinton Barnes; her husband Wade Hampton Allen; her son Wade Hampton Allen, Jr.; and her siblings, Troy Thomas Barnes, Jr., Harold W. Barnes and Marie Barnes Harrell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debra Allen Wicker (Ron) of Kinston and Betsy Allen Barmore (Richard) of Kinston; her sister Helen Barnes Langdon of Coats; her grandchildren, Samantha Waida Rouse (Aaron), Sara Waida, Joshua Waida of Kinston and Robert Wade Braxton (Meredith); and her great grandchildren, Keaton Wade Braxton of Virginia and Charlotte Grace Braxton of Virginia.
