He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Deaver and Maggie Deaver; and his siblings, Lena Mae Gray, Vonnie Ree Humphrey, Gurnice Earl Deaver, Alton Louie Deaver and Dalton Dewey Deaver.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Becton Deaver; and his siblings, Edna Rae Deaver Taylor of Kinston and Marvin Deaver of Kinston. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Free Will Baptist Church at 1936 Banks School Rd., Kinston, NC 28504.
