He is survived by: his wife Minnie Stackhouse; and his children, Donald Ray Mitchell (Martha) of Kinston, Thomas Dawson (Lucinda) of Kinston, Robert Dawson of Washington, DC, Avery Dawson of Washington, DC, Gregory Dawson (Elaine) of Rex, GA, James Willis Stackhouse (Shlisa) of Durham, Antonio Dawson (Kimberly) of Rex, GA, Jerry Stackhouse (Ramirra) of Nashville, TN and Mary Thomas (Frank) of Washington, DC. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; twenty Great Grandchildren; and one Great Great Grandchild.
