She was predeceased by: her husband Charles "Tank" Taylor. She is survived by: her son Kevin Johnson (Lauranne); her grandchildren, Drew Tompson and Laynie Johnson; her son Butch Johnson (Bobbie); her grandchildren, Lucas and Rowan; her great grandchild Ginna Hunnings (JR); Dylan, Zachary and Caitlyn. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC, in honor of Ginger's memory and the comfort they provided to her and her family.
