We are sad to announce that, on February 22, 2026, at the age of 82, Guy Alan Jones of Kinston, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Guy may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Jones and Evelyn Stocks Jones; and his daughter Brittany Jones. He is survived by: his significant other Sara Taylor; his daughters, Jennifer Mercer (Jon), Marilyn Cash and Angela Jones; and his close friends, James Quinn and Kenny Jones. He is also survived by three brothers, one sister, nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren.
