He is survived by: his wife Betty Brock; his daughters, Amy McLemore and Sara Thompson (Robert); his grandchildren, Jenna McLemore, Edward Thompson and Robert Thompson, Jr.; and his siblings, Patsy Sugg, James (Frances) and David (Marsha). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
