She was predeceased by : her parents, Reverend Linwood Chadwick Sr. and Luvina Smith Chadwick. She is survived by : her sons, Ralfiel Worthem (Deirdre) of Atlanta, GA, Terrell Worthem-Spruill (Keith) and Rondell Worthem; her grandchildren, Ralfiel Jr., Elijah, Hannah and DeJuan; her brothers, Reverend Linwood "Monnie" Chadwick (Essie) of Winterville, NC and Minister Carolyn "Little Sissy" Jerkins of Kinston, NC; her nieces and nephews, Calvin Chadwick, Kelvin Chadwick (Kristan), Sharon Spencer, Tomeka Jerkins, Kimberly Chadwick, Joel Brown (Nicole) and Brandon Spruill; her sisters-in-law, Nedra S. Jones of Washington, DC and Myra A.; and her goddaughter KeKe Jones. She is also survived by great nieces, nephews, God children, relatives and friends.

Ida Brown wrote a sympathy message

“In loving memory of Hattie Spruill, I met Ms. Hattie when my Mama was in rehab. She was a very sweet and loving woman. My Mama couldn't speak, but Ms. Hattie was her voice. She looked out for Mama and let me know when things weren't right. Mama passed on 4/8/2020 and I lost contact with Ms. Hattie when things were shut down. I often thought of her and prayed for her. She was a great woman of faith. R.I.P. Ms. Hattie. With deepest sympathies and love, Ms. Ida”
