He is survived by: his wife Margaret Sasser Sanderson; his children, Donna Sanderson Humphreys (Arthur "Sonny"), Hobert "Ikie" Kennedy Sanderson, Jr. (Denise) of Kinston, Timothy "Timmy" Bryan Sanderson (Frankie) of Kinston and Michael "Rock" Scott Sanderson (Misty) of Kinston; his grandchildren, David Kyle Humphreys (Shelby) of Newport, Brandon Carroll Humphreys of Kinston, Timothy Bryan Sanderson, II (Natalie) of Greenville, Christopher Scott Sanderson (Rebecca), Andrew Kennedy Sanderson (Kendall) of Kinston, Carly McKenzie Sanderson of St. Louis, MO, Joshua Blake Sanderson (Kayla), Michael Scott Sanderson, Jr. and Tyler Jordan Sanderson of Kinston; his great grandchildren, Hailey Allyson Humphreys, Hunter David Humphreys of Newport, Meredith Lee Sanderson of Kinston, Sloane Kennedy Sanderson of Kinston, Brooklyn Ellis Sanderson of Kinston, Brandon Carter Humphreys of Kinston and Madelyn Brooke Sanderson of Kinston; his siblings, Delbert Carl Sanderson of Havelock, Betty Sanderson Naylor and Hilda Sanderson Byrd of Kinston; his niece Frances Robinson Hall; his nephew Earl Harris; and his grandchildren, Heather, Wakanda and Crystal.
