She was predeceased by: her parents, Bursell Thompson and Jane Thompson Ipock; her daughter Wendy Keefe; her husband Dennis Garland Herring; and her sister Nancy Sue Thompson Hill.
She is survived by: her children, Stuart Herring (Joyce) of Chocowinity, Courtney Jayne Herring of Chocowinity and David Bradley Herring (Sarah) of Fremont; her grandchildren, Nicholas Blake Herring, RJ Ball, Leigha Herring, Michael Benjamin Tilton, Angel Blaze Burgoss, Tristen Michael Herring and Nolan Blake Herring; her siblings, Eloise Killette and Nicky Thompson; and her niece Kristen Grady.
