She was predeceased by: her daughter Shelley Kay Hill Cates; and her parents, Doris Jewel Turnage Smith and Frederick Howard Turnage. She is survived by: her son Clifton Hill (Aaron Lucier) of Greenville; and her sisters, Connie Marie Barker of Fuquay-Varina and Susan Diane Turnage of Kinston. She is also survived by cousins, aunts, and uncles.
