He is survived by: his wife Mamie Nicholson; and his children, Donald Nicholson of Kinston, NC, Garry Nicholson of Kinston, NC, Johnnie Nicholson, Jr. of Kinston, NC, Linda Smith of Kinston, NC, Vanessa Nicholson of Kinston, NC, Lora Nicholson of Kinston, NC and Brenda Brannum of District Heights, MD. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 9 great grand children.
