Joseph Plasky Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Plasky of Kinston, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 29, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph Plasky to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. Plasky and Mary V. Plasky (Machunsky); his great grandchild Harper Grey Stepps; and his wife Sandra "Sue" Plasky. He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Plasky (Bryan Nelson) of New Bern, NC, Stephanie Stepps (Crosby) of Ayden, NC, Sarah Sachdev (Marc) of Chapel Hill, NC and Christine Andre (Jon) of Emerald Isle, NC.; his grandchildren, Steven, Jessica, Justin, Amanda and Kaili; his great grandchildren, Layne and Tallulah; his siblings, John (Janet), Lorraine Baggett (Deke) and Robert (Audrey); and his pet Ricky. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Even during the pandemic, when he couldn't be inside, he found a way to connect, earning the affectionate nickname "The Muffin Man" for his regular deliveries of from scratch blueberry muffins to the nursing staff.
