She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Byrd; her parents, Carlton Otis Tripp, Sr. and Marie Daniels Tripp; her sister Linda Taylor; and her brother-in-law Raymond Taylor.
She is survived by: her son Jason Byrd (Paige) of Kinston; her grandchildren, Christian Jacobs and Zack Byrd; her siblings, Judy Morris (Tommy) of Silver Springs, MD, Faye Hill (Eddie) of Kinston and Carl Tripp (Beth) of Greenville; and her close friends, Faye Davis, Becky Holmes, Joan Bradshaw, Marion Motsko and Penny Edgeston. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
