He was predeceased by: his daughter Karen Miller Stallings; his son-in-law Craig Murphy; and his grandson-in-law Anthony Herring. He is survived by: his wife Edna Gray Kennedy Miller; his daughters, Dawn Murphy and Wendy Boone (Al); his grandchildren, Melissa Herring, Dustin Boone, Katie Stallings, Corey Boone, Jared Boone (Melissa), Jordan Stallings and Courtney Murphy; and his great grandchildren, Landon Whaley, Carley Boone, Mackenzie Herring, Madison Herring, Lynlee Boone, Emalyn Boone and Baby Boy Boone.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Garner Funeral Home (209 W Peyton Ave, Kinston, NC 28501).
