She was predeceased by : her parents, Elvin Dale Schultz and Beverly Moody Schultz (Johnnie P. Byrd, Jr.) of New Bern. She is survived by : her children, Jenny Byrd Thomas (Michael), Molly Gail Byrd (Barrett Foster), Jack Henry Byrd, her grandchildren, Norah and Charles Thomas (Charlie); her sisters Jean Nuttall (Mike) of Atlanta, GA; children; Emily and Laura; Betsy Norris of Wake Forest, NC; children Brittany, Danielle, Zack, and Landon, her nephew Quinton; her sister-in-law Brenda Grady (Les); and her spouse Johnnie.
