We are sad to announce that on October 28, 2025, at the age of 82, Lucille Greene Eubanks of Kinston, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Lucille may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Franklin Greene and Annie Brown Greene; and her sister Frankie Greene Penny. She is survived by: her husband Virgil Lee Eubanks; her children, Joy Elizabeth Eubanks and Russell Virgil Eubanks (Melissa Mattocks); her grandson Miles Westbrook Eubanks; and her brother Timothy Earl Greene (Karen).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gordon Street Christian Church (118 E Gordon St, Kinston, NC 28501). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the church.
