She is survived by: her children, Ramon Hugh Askew III, Gay Askew Crabb, Helen Askew Sanders and John Carson Askew. She is also survived by five grandchildren, seven great‑grandchildren, and one great‑great‑granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one's favorite charity in her name, Mary Askew.
