He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Lake C. Howard, Saphronie Casper, Walter Hughes and Lillian Adams; and his in-laws, Linda and Bobby Stewart.
He is survived by: his parents, Ruth Howard of Deep Run and Millard Hughes Sr. (Carol) of Kinston; his close friends, Pat Delaney and Dail Carlyle; his wife Sheri Hughes; his children, Emleigh Appel (David) and Stewart Hughes (Ariana); his sister Lori Wetherington (Lee); his nieces, Paige and Anna; his sister-in-law Christel Carlyle (Dail); his niece Sadie; his nephew Jared; his brother-in-law Alan Stewart (Kristina); and his niece Zoe. He is also survived by aunts, close friends, step-siblings, cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Sharon United Methodist Church (4061 Sharon Church Rd, Kinston, NC 28501).
