She was predeceased by : her parents, Dr. Wiley Simeon Cozart and Pauline Holt Cozart of Fuquay Springs, NC.; her siblings, Dr. Wiley H. Cozart (Ruth), Rebecca C. Smith (Ed), Virginia C. McLeod (Bernard) and Rachael; her husband Dr. Simmons I. Patrick; and her daughter-in-law Abigail Sims Edwards.

She is survived by : her brothers-in-law, Bernard McCleod and Hugh Barwick; her children, George Richard Edwards (Hilda), Wiley Loren Edwards (Beth), Simmons I. Patrick (Laura), Marion B. Patrick and Elizabeth P. Sabiston (Bill); and her grandchildren, George Richard Edwards, Jr., Harriet Edwards Mills, Wiley Loren Edwards, Jr. (Ren), Kathryn Edwards Persico, Caroline Patrick Jackson and Simmons I. Patrick, III.
