It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pinkey Harper (Kinston, North Carolina), born in Snow Hill, North Carolina, who passed away on June 3, 2023, at the age of 104, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sarah Ginn Joyner and Samuel Johnston Joyner; her husband Woodrow Simpson Harper; and her sisters, Natalie Sugg, Verna Mitchell, Elsie Massengill and Margaret King. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
