With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Remonia Suggs Gray (Kinston, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 7, 2025 at the age of 88. Though Remonia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Remonia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She is survived by: her children, Anthony Suggs of New Jersey and Maureen Suggs of Kinston; and her siblings, Perry Suggs of Snow Hill, Shirley Kearney of Maryland, Mary Suggs of New Jersey and Georgia Water of Chicago. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Jr. Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Church of Faith and Deliverance (655 Sussex St, Kinston, NC 28504). A burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at the Hines Cemetery.
