He was predeceased by: his parents, Blanco Bridgers "Shorty" and Clara Fitzgerald Parker; and his brother Chappell Vail Parker (Dick). He is survived by: his children, Timothy M. Parker (Hope) of Wake Forest, Darla P. Peedin (Mark) of Pine Level and Vicki P. Parker (Yates) of Alexandria, VA; his brothers, Benny Parker (Beebe) and Z. B. Parker (Ava); his sister-in-law Molly Parker of Pine Level; and his grandchildren, Mitchell Peedin (Lexie), Daniel Peedin (Ashby), Jacob Peedin (Michelle), Emily Parker, Andrew Parker, Harrison Parker (Ashley) and Lindsay Parker. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Smithfield Disabled American Veterans (DAV), 1500 Buffalo Rd., Smithfield, NC 27577.
