He was predeceased by: his wife Susann Dail; and his stepdaughter Lois Ann Avery. He is survived by: his sons, Henry Dail (Becky) and Eugene Dail (Connie); his stepdaughters, Denise Taylor (Blaney), Dora Scherer (Jessie) and Lisa Smith (Frankie); his grandchild Taylor Perry (Daniel); and his stepgrandchildren, Brandon Brown, Brittany Lewis, Chris Taylor, Cynthia Braxton, Justin Brown, Kayla Scherer, Tiffany Redfearn, Megan Flickinger and Reed Clark. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pinelawn Memorial Park (4488 US-70, Kinston, NC 28504).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lenoir County SPCA at 2455 Rouse Road Extension, Kinston, NC 28504.
