He was predeceased by: his parents, Bishop Durwood Rouse and Louise Johnson Rouse. He is survived by: his wife Betty S. Rouse; his children, Thomas Rouse (Catherine) and Rebekah Rouse (Heidi); his siblings, Kenneth R. Rouse (Brenda), Linda Rice and Sherrilynn Johnson (Robert Edward); his grandchildren, William Rouse, Bryant Rouse, Harper Mooney, Rachel Mooney and Sarah Mooney; and his son Jeff Rouse. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
