She is survived by: her daughter Priscilla Canady of Brooklyn, NY; her siblings, Faye Thompson of Kinston, NC, Virginia Canady of Brooklyn, NY, Paggie Canady of Alexandria, VA and Robert Canady (Gwendolyn) of Richlands, NC; her aunt Annie Belle White of Richlands, NC; her brother-in-law James Dixon of Los Angeles, CA; her grandson Joel Smith, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY; and her great grandchildren, Janasia Smith of Brooklyn, NY and Joel Jaylin Smith of Brooklyn, NY. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saunders Funeral Home (210 Bell Fork Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540).
