He is survived by: his wife Jackie Hardison of Kinston; his children, Michelle Hardison Priola (Joe Franklin), Sam Hardison (Jennifer King) of Kinston and Scott (Rachel Hardison); his grandchildren, Walker Hardison, Kenly Hardison, Sammi-Grace Hardison and Charlotte Hardison; his siblings, JT Hardison (Kathy) of Kinston and Linda Grant of Kinston; and his caregiver Linda Sykora.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Home or Tanglewood Church of God.
