He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Edgar Elmore Jr. and Juanita Jones Elmore. He is survived by: his children, Ellen Gay Elmore and Thomas Edgar Elmore IV (Halie); his granddaughter Warner James Elmore; his cousin David Elmore; his wife Vickie Barrow Elmore; and his stepchildren, Dr. John B. Oettinger (Elizabeth) and Jessica O. Wilder (William).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to honor Mr. Elmore be made to Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, 6861 NC-55, Seven Springs, NC 28578; Union Baptist Church, 6504 NC-55, Kinston, NC 28504; or a charity of your choice.
