He was predeceased by: his father Thomas Carol King, Sr.; and his child Thomas "Tommy" Carol King III. He is survived by: his mother Gracie Woodall King; his wife Lola Kearney King; his granddaughters, Camryn Michelle King, Lola Elizabeth King, Lillian Charlotte King, Amy Blair of Goldsboro and Jacqueline Kannan of Goldsboro; his sisters, Cathy King Hathcock of Graham, Benita Wessinger (Dave) of South Carolina and Beth King Batten of Durham; his sister-in-law Rose Kearney Guevarra (John) of Snow Hill; his niece Jennifer Guevarra (Curtis Hilliard) of Greenville; and his close friends, Cecil and Paulette Sutton of Kinston.
