It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vance Offutt Davis Sr. of Kinston, North Carolina, born in Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on August 5, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, William "Jack" Arthur Davis and Nellie Jarman Davis; his wife Phyllis Jean Casey Davis; and his brother William L. Davis. He is survived by : his children, Jean Kay Davis Burkett (Jeff) of Wyse Fork, Lisa Ann Davis Alphin (Dwight) of Kinston, Vance O. "Van" Davis, Jr. of Kinston and Jack Arthur Davis (Crystal) of Kinston; his grandchildren, Jeana Burkett Carter (Derrick), Jeffrey Burkett, Jr. (Julie), Casey Ann Alphin Whaley (Matthew), Dylan Davis, Melanie Davis, Lauren Davis, Brittany Wallace, Josh Wallace and Jarod Wallace; his great grandchildren, Sarah Carter, Summer Burkett, Savannah Burkett, Marley Carter, Kaylynn Carter and Briley Whaley; and also, Kenneth Register and Jennifer Burkett. He is also survived by his daddy and brother.
