She is survived by: her children, Shirley Whitfield, Patricia Foster, Denise Batts, Larry Whaley and Scott Whaley; her grandchildren, Stephen Whaley, Jill Whitfield, Audrey Abernathy, Beth Kennedy, Jake Westbrook and Courtney Foster; her great grandchildren, Shane Whaley, Wesley Kennedy, Miranda Abernathy and Miles Abernathy; and her siblings, Janice May, Martha Pridgen, Ellen Rodriguez, Norwood Merritt and Leslie Merritt.
