It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernelle Sparrow Edwards (Kinston, North Carolina), who passed away on March 3, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Johnnie Sparrow and Lillian Whitley Sparrow; her siblings, Virginia S. Toth, Donnie Sparrow and Billy Sparrow; her mother-in-law Lillian Taylor; her siblings-in-law, Roy Dail, Stephen Toth, Sr. and Lou Sparrow; her great-nephew Robbie Dail; and her nephew Ronnie Walker.
She is survived by : her husband Kenneth; her daughters, Allyson Hudson (Durwood) and Bonnie Gaddy (Chris); her grandsons, Brad Koonce (Wendy), Kent Edwards (Amanda) and Matt Edwards (Savannah); her great grandchildren, Braydon Edwards, Hudson Edwards, Easton Edwards, Paxton Edwards and Bryson Koonce; her sister Grace Dail; her sister-in-law Janet Sparrow; her children-in-law, Durwood Hudson and Chris Gaddy; and her daughters, Kathy, Amy, Kinston, Laura, Tami and Pollocksville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
