He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Simmons and Laura Dove Simmons. He is survived by: his children, Erica Roberson of Dover, NC and Demarcus Simmons of Henderson, NC; and his sisters, Norma McBynum, Gwendolyn Simmons of Kinston, NC, Zelda Wynn of Greenville, NC and Cecilia Watson of Suffolk, VA.. He is also survived by six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephew, close relatives and friends.
