He was predeceased by: his parents, Asbury Cheatham and Mary Johnson Cheatham. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Crews Cheatham; his daughters, Latonia Cheatham Strickland of Ashburn, VA and Shavonne D. Cheatham of Oxford; and his siblings, Joseph Cheatham (Amara) of Oxford and Glynnis Ross. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home (3724 Salem Rd, Oxford, NC 27565). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ilong Baptist Church (4043 Fairport Rd, Kittrell, NC 27544).
