With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Lou Meekins of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, born in Norfolk, Virginia, who passed away on June 8, 2025 at the age of 68. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Martha Lou Meekins to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her father Walter R. Stephenson. She is survived by: her husband Douglas Charles Meekins; her daughters, Lindsey Kakretz (Eric) of Kitty Hawk, NC and Erin Gregory (Brent) of Huntsville, AL; her grandchildren, Amelia and Walter Gregory; her mother Janie Lentz Stephenson; and her siblings, Kathi Stephenson, Linda Stephenson, Sherri Munford and Walter R. Stephenson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church (803 W Kitty Hawk Rd, Kitty Hawk, NC 27949). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Martha may be made to Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church (https://www.kittyhawkumc.org), honoring her legacy of love and service.
