She was predeceased by: her husband Jerry S. Wright, Jr.; her parents, Lucille Sawyer Stokes and Joseph Jackson Stokes; and her brother-in-law Howard Clinkscales. She is survived by: her sons, Joseph West Wright of Kitty Hawk and Aaron Landon Wright (Kristi) of Nags Head; her grandchildren, Sawyer, Landin and Sterling Wright; and her siblings, Deborah Stokes Clinkscales and Captain Sam Stokes (Mary). She is also survived by her family and many friends.
After graduating from Elizabeth City High School, Susann dedicated herself to her family's endeavors and made significant contributions to the family business, Sweet Water Restaurant.
