He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Hellmuth and Russell Hellmuth; and his stepson Thomas Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Ann C. Hellmuth of Raleigh; his children, Sharon Jean James of Middlesex and Bill Hellmuth Jr. of Knightdale; his stepson David Wilson of Wake Forest; his grandson Chris Wells (Heather) of Middlesex; his stepgrandchildren, Lonnie Wilson (Taylor) of Louisburg, Kelly Dixon (Travis) of Leland and Lindsey Wilson of Wilmington; and his nieces, Lynn Watkins (Paul) of Richmond and Donna Duff (Scott) of Christiansburg, Virginia.. He is also survived by many step-great-grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
