She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas Jefferson Strickland and Peggy Allen Strickland; her husband John Davis; and her stepchildren, Katherine Evans (Katie) and Jason Davis.

She is survived by : her daughters, Amy Pierce of Christiansburg, VA and Robin Luttrell of Spartanburg, SC; her stepson John Paul Davis of Nashville, NC; her sister Barbara Matthews of Bullock, NC; and her grandchildren, Tyler Davis, Myles Evans, London Evans, Paris Evans, Savannah Luttrell and Taylor Davis.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 6th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the L. Harold Poole Funeral & Crematory (944 Old Knight Rd, Knightdale, NC 27545). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel (944 Old Knight Rd, Knightdale, NC 27545).
