He was predeceased by: his parents, F. Leonard Wilder and Mafra Higgins Wilder; his wife Dottie (Dottie) of Wilmington; his daughter Barbara; his stepmother Edna C. Wilder; and his siblings, Jimmy, Janie, Sarah and Laura.
He is survived by: his daughter Susan W. Chappell (Ed); his grandchildren, Jonathan Chappell (Andrea), Joanna C. Laws (Alan) and Kathryn C. Hayes (Nick); his great grandchildren, Mason Laws, Maddox Laws, Christopher Chappell and Thatcher Hayes; his sisters, Doris W. Douglas and Lunell W. Hinton; and his sister-in-law Jean B. Gay. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
