She was predeceased by: her parents, Seymour Bonner and Lettie Carr Bonner; and her brother Allen Bonner. She is survived by: her husband Roger Gerard Sample; her son Shawn Price (Angel); her stepchildren, Jennifer Smith (Rab), Carrie Lipchin, Emily Sample (Ryan Smalley) and Scott Sample (Jill); her granddaughter Sydney Price; her stepgrandchildren, Elizabeth Sample, Meggie Smith, Ty Smith, Julia Lipchin, Andrew Sample, Stephanie Sample, Benjamin Lipchin, Jacob Lipchin and Ainsley Smalley; her sister Emma Jean Haller (Earl); and her sister-in-law Gertie Bonner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 4505 Falls of Neuse Road, Suite 650, Raleigh, NC 27609.
