He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Lamar Allen and Ida Sue White; his wife Doris Lee Allen; his son Steven Allen; and his siblings, Elton, Gilbert, Butch, Mildred, Geraldine and Audrey.

He is survived by: his sons, Dennis Allen (Donna), Michael D. Allen and Jamie Allen; his grandchildren, Ashley D. Allen and Jason W. Allen; his great grandchildren, Liana Touley, Julius Sturdavant, MaLiana Krieger and Jaxon Allen; and his brother Troy Allen.

Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Neuse Baptist Church.
