He is survived by: his wife Cindy Morris Rice of Knightdale; his sister Carley Rice Green (Jeff) of Colorado; his aunts and uncles, Alfred H. Lockamy, Linda C. Lockamy of Winterville, Philip Rice and Phyllis Rice of Spring Hope; his siblings-in-law, Sharon and Vernon O'Neil of Hawaii; his nephews, Daniel Green, Benjamin Green, David O'Neil and Andrew O'Neil; and his niece Rebecca Green.
