With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Eugene Dodson of Knightdale, North Carolina, born in Alexandria, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 2, 2026 at the age of 67. He was predeceased by: his mother Jeannette Mae Jones; and his brothers, Michael Groggs, Steven Groggs and Donald Groggs. He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline "Jackie" Kay Dodson; his children, Shannon Dodson of Zebulon and Robbie Dodson (Kate) of Warrenton, NC; his niece Heather Fulcher of Knightdale, NC; his grandchildren, Logan, Reagan, Jack and Ryan; and his siblings, Aubrey "Bud" Hudson, Jim Jones, Beatrice "Sissy" Hudson, Jessie "Babe" Jones, Kenneth "Tim" Hudson and Cheryl Jones. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Wounded Warriors Project.
